Take a Stroll on the TTC

In his book Stroll: Psychogeographic Walking Tours of Toronto, Shawn Micallef takes an in-depth look at Canada’s largest city. Stroll launched this past May and has since been well received as an excellent guide to many of Toronto’s hidden treasures. This fall, Micallef plans to continue to chronicle his journeys by using a new outlet: the TTC. From September 21st to October 5th, readers will be able to follow a first-hand account of Micallef’s Toronto sightings as he texts live from location. The texts will be aired over the TTC’s prominent network of screens and displayed to over 1 million subway commuters per day. Micallef’s sightings will also be shared over Twitter and followers are encouraged to participate by sharing their TTC discoveries. For a closer look at Stroll, be sure to read Becky Toyne’s recent Open Book article here.
