Governor General's Literary Awards

The winners of the 2012 Governor General's Literary Awards were announced this morning at the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec. Each winner was awarded $25,000 and a specially-bound copy of his or her winning book. The publisher of each winning book received $3,000 to support promotional activities. The non-winning finalists were each awarded $1,000, bringing the total value of the awards to approximately $450,000.
